1990ranger 2.9,bad mileage

I have a 1990 ranger 2.9 V6 with 166k on it and it only gets about 15 miles to the gal. is this normal for its age or can it be helped?

Of course normal tune-up will help, but i replaced my o2 sensors & improved my milage & performance alot.95 3.0 w/ 150,000 miles at time Good Luck

Some info aobut your truck would help... What tires are you running, any lift, aftermarket gearing. 15 isnt too too bad. I was running like 12mpg on a sick 2.3. My 96 3.0 gets 19-20 depending
