im not having alot of luck finding an intake for my 89 240sx, but i have found alot for the 91-94's, can i make the dohc one fit on a sohc? ive been looking at some and i really cant see why it wouldnt fit.

nope it will not work. Different engine...89 is sohc and 91-94 dohc. There is different piping for the hoses too.
