Suggestions On Outcome?whatsupzaflo 09-23-2004, 03:15 AM Sorry, this is somewhat a "double post" because i posted a thread earlier about the same problem, just with a different question. PROBLEM: I have an oil leak that is very serious. The car is drivable, it just leaks alot of oil all over and loses compression. I dont know if there is a risk for a fire, but right now i have no other choice but to drive it because i have no other means of transport. SYMPTOMS: First of all, the timing belt cover has been removed for better exposure and diagnosis. Oil sprays but only after prolonged driving (5-15 minutes). I believe it is either the block has a crack, or the head gasket is mafunctioning. QUESTION 1: What are some symptoms of a cracked block? A malfunctioning head gasket? QUESTION 2: If it is a cracked block, what should i do with the car? What should i do if it is the head gasket? I need a cheap solution, maybe i could sell it? Any responses will be taken seriously and will be helpful. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
