I have a 98 Chevy Express Van and today the power steering and power brakes went out at once. I have checked all the fuses in the distribution box under the hood but no luck. Anyone knowing what caused this, please help.

You have the hydro boost brake system- the brakes are tied into the power steering pump. A leak,power steering fluid being low- or the fan belt of the power steering system will cause your power brakes to fail. You will still have brakes- just your going to have to stand on the brake to stop
