YES EACH!!! i asked him like 3 times if hes sure... NUUUTTTSS!!! he doesnt even know why the parts for this car are so crazy. TOTAL OF $4309 (with 4 wheels) oh yes and the front bumper spoiler lip $356!! I mean dudes seriously this is like BMW LEXUS parts prices. I dont know whos smoking crack and where they got it, but i guess ebay and some other online places is where im gonna be doing my parts shopping... with me luck!!! :banghead: R.W.240 09-22-2004, 06:44 PM yeah thats what happens at dealerships. I think Newsweek peiced a Accord together with dealer parts and it came out to 40,000 something dollars Bryants95240sx 09-22-2004, 07:34 PM of course the stock wheels are going to be that much there OEM there not massed produced anymore.but that dealership seems to have marked up the prices a bit on things but yeah what do you expect its the stealership and btw try carparts.com D-Bo 09-22-2004, 07:37 PM is that american dollars???? BaDmAn 09-22-2004, 07:43 PM Those prices are wack. Especially the 40k accord R.W. mentioned thats just insane. . . i used to work for folsom lake toyota/ford/kia before group 1 bought kia and toyota and all the salespeople used to say all the money is in the used cars. . . . . and those 3 dealerships used car inventory was huge so obviously the next best thing for the dealerships for making money is finance and the service depot. . . thats what i learned working at a "stealership" but the best part about working at one is that you get some bad ass hook ups on cars. we had this little deal with a middle man company who got us wellsfargo cars and man you wouldnt believe the mark-up on some of them.... lets just say we had a c70 for sale for around 28-30k and the mark up was half the price!!!!! and working for them thats how much i would have to pay!(half the price) tight huh? if you can make some friends that work for nissan or whatever do so because they can help you out a lot if you know what i mean and if they're willing to ;) SHIFT_KA24DE 09-22-2004, 08:53 PM Damn.. that is pretty whack. If you really want to see the price go up... request for some NISMO parts... LSD, clutch, Struts, Coilovers, etc... haha Grenyaer 09-22-2004, 08:56 PM i remember I went to get a nissan badge for my front bumper and they wanted $45 for it at the local dealership. So i slapped the guy and stepped on his foot and walked out. Well not really. But I was quite distraught by the price. sidewayzS13 09-22-2004, 09:49 PM oh yea its crazy i went there once to get the price for a driveshaft and it was 700 when i could buy a aluminum one from heavy throttle for 400 the shit is insane SHO411 09-22-2004, 09:49 PM try $500 for two oxygen sensors for a 1989 BMW 750il, and how about they wanted $244 for an ignition module for a 90 Taurus SHO, and Napa only wanted $114. BaDmAn 09-22-2004, 09:56 PM thats a buttload of money Yeee Haw! ghostchild316 09-23-2004, 01:52 AM yea I was trying to get a new LH motor mount while doing my motor swap.$140 for a stock replacement!!!just that one!!! that same night I ordered URAS mounts from SPL Parts for $223 for both! J SPEC SilEighty 09-23-2004, 02:02 AM I went to the dealership for the nuts that go on top of the rear strut towers. They were 10mm I believe. I could not find these 10mm nuts with the little plastic insert ANYWHERE around here. So yeah, I went to the dealership for them and they charged me 7 bucks a piece. Total was like $15 for 2 damn nuts. Crazy Broke_as_**** 09-23-2004, 02:13 AM An important point was brought up that these parts are no longer mass produced. Even S14s have been out of production for 6 years now. My 89 is already 15 years old. Even my 300ZX is pushing 10. And that means that all the tools used to create these parts are gone. Alot of times what happens is that a car builder like Nissan or Ford or whoever will sub the making of these parts out to a smaller company, who marks the price up, who in turn sell them the original builder, who mark the price up, and then to the dealership, who mark the price up. Is not that bad but you get the general idea. But it will usually be especially bad any body parts since they usually never cross over to any other car, unlike engines, brake rotors, fuel injectors, etc and so on. There is plenty of alternatives though. Nissan wanted $250 for a passenger side front fender, I got one from a wholesale wharehouse for $100. But you can get some good deals though Nissan. More specifically Nismo. I got all 6 555cc fuel injectors for my Z32 from Nismo for about half what some aftermarket pieces cost. Just have to look around. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
