ohh and also my check engiine light is on and my friend said thats cause the previous owner swaped the motor from an lx version ( i have a dx)

The 95 LX and DX share the same motor, the non-vtec, SOHC, 16 vavle 4 cylander 102HP D15B7, so it's not an 5th gen LX motor sitting in there if it's a 1.6 liter Vtec.

Look under the hood, whats the engine code say? I should be stamped on the left side of the block somewhere, it sould say something like D16Z6, D15B7, etc.

Give us the engine code, and we can tell you what type of civic it came from.
