There's got to be a short somewhere in your power wire. Either that or there's something seriously wrong with yor amp(s). I'd stop putting fuses in until you figure it out.

I think you are not grounding out your amplifier well.

Well The Amp Works When I Change The Fuse So Im Thinking It's Something With The Wires And I Cant Seem To Find Where The Ground Wire Is Grounded At Since I Had It Installed At Some Shop And I Have Since Moved But What's The Deal With The Car Dying?? Any Idea?

Remove the power wire from the amp, tape up the terminal and put a new fuse in. If your having the same problem, then there's a short somewhere in your power wire and you're gonna have to follow it front to back to find where the short is happening. It's a shitty job, but it's better than having your car set on fire due to a wire overheating.

ok well i have changed the fuse with the power disconnected already so my next question is do you think it could be the little black fuse box i have because the kind of fuse i used to use was the glass one and i never had this problem im thinking the little fuse box is what's causing it.. it looks a little burned on the inside from the fuse blowing and making the plastic melt... your thoughts?

What size fuse are you using, what wire are you using?

well it's a flat fuse like you would find under the dash board im using 30 now but i have tried all sizes up to 30 still nothing as for the wire it's a red wire maybe like an 8 g or 4 not to sure i know that the ground wire is one size bigger im thinking of swapping out the fuse box any good suggestions on which one to get and where?

well i did that and now it still don't work i know there is power going through the wire end to end but there has got to be a easier way than fallowing it from one end to another no one thinks that the fuse holder may be bad?

no fuseholder shouldn't be bad... Get a voltmeter :) find the problem

calamari925

well test at the batter the amount of voltage. then test the power...

calamari925

so test how many volts are coming from the battery it self then test how many volts are going to the other end of the power wire?
