92-95 Tail Lampsgirlieizpurrfect 09-18-2004, 04:50 PM Hey, everyone. I gotta friend with a 95 hatch who is lookinf for new tail lamps. He doesn't want the trad. aftermarket ones, what he wants are the SI stock lamps, you know just red and white, Anyone know where to find or has any, also will they fit? Thanks:) Shaguar47 09-18-2004, 05:34 PM Well first off, 96-00 tail lamps won't fit a 92-95 civic. It's just not gonna happen unless you do alot of body work in the rear. As for the red and clear for his 95, ebay is the best place to get them but be on the look out for cheapo's that will get mucky and water will leak in causing moisture spots. I will admit, the red/clear are clean and the best looking for the 92-95 civics. If only the would make more for more civic generations. Say maybe 4g. CivicSpoon 09-18-2004, 06:08 PM Here are some red and clears I found yesterday online: http://216.82.69.117/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=HC9295-H-RCT Thinking about getting a pair myself to replace my cracked stock ones. And by the way the stock ones for the 92-95 aren't all red and clear, they're orange too. girlieizpurrfect 09-19-2004, 03:48 AM Thanks for the link :) eckoman_pdx 09-20-2004, 05:26 AM Here's a link to some 92-95 HB (3 door) Red/Clear "SI style" tailights like your friend is looking for. Like the link above, They will fit, as these Red/Clear tailis are made for the 92-95 HB. http://www.matrixracing.com/BI1992Details.htm I hope this link helps a little. If your friend gets them, as with any aftermarket tail, make sure you run a bead of silcion all the way around them to seal them up and prevent water from getting in. CivicSpoon 09-20-2004, 12:35 PM Those look nicer with the red edging around the clear. I missed those on that site, that was the first site I looked at too; strange... eckoman_pdx 09-20-2004, 04:32 PM Those look nicer with the red edging around the clear. I missed those on that site, that was the first site I looked at too; strange... It's all good, it can be easy to miss stuff like that sometimes. Anyways, I think it looks a little nicer with the red edging too, and it doesn't cost too much more. SilverY2KCivic 09-20-2004, 08:26 PM Here's a link (http://www.inlinefour.com/92jdmegtaill.html) to some authentic JDM red/clear 5th gen hatchback (EG body) tails. 95dxcivic 09-21-2004, 12:50 AM What do you think of these tails. Some people might smell rice right when they see them but i like them. These on a black car with black housing headlights would look good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7923079703&category=33716#ebayphotohosting The red and whites are what I want for my civic. eckoman_pdx 09-21-2004, 02:16 AM Here's a link (http://www.inlinefour.com/92jdmegtaill.html) to some authentic JDM red/clear 5th gen hatchback (EG body) tails. True, those are authentic JDM red/clear taillights. True, therefor they are OE...however...they are only the Inner Hatch lamps, not the outer peices also. It's only 2 of the 4 tails, so you'd still need to get outer pieces somehow. If that were all 4 peices, I'd say it's a different story. On a side note...Matt, did you ever find out about putting factory HID units into non-HID equipped cars, which you said you heard was legel in Cali, as long as you keep the reflector sheild over the bulb in place? Also, did u get my pm's? girlieizpurrfect 09-21-2004, 03:22 PM Hey, thanks everyone eckoman_pdx 09-22-2004, 10:53 PM Hey, thanks everyone You're welcome. I am glad we could help. Just remember, if your friend gets the aftermarket red/clear tailights, seal them up with some silicon (run a bead of silicon around the seam seal). Water tends to leak into most aftermarket taillights if you don't do this. Shaguar47 09-23-2004, 05:11 PM Yes, seal them or soon you'll have an unpleasant amount of water floating in there. Oh and do they make just a flat red outer taillights where the blinker would blink red instead of orange. I think that would be awesome to have. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
