School me on hatchbacksapexigod 09-18-2004, 12:29 AM what's the difference between the 96-00 hatchbacks DX and CX? SuperDeck 09-18-2004, 02:39 AM the dx i believe has a d15b2 unlike i kniow that the cx has the d15b7 witch makes a differents when you the strip. Beastiek2 09-18-2004, 10:47 AM 96-00-dx/cx I think they have the same motor 1.6 liter 106 hp. snowman2005 09-18-2004, 11:39 AM they all have the d16y7. base motor for that year only difference is probably the accesories they come with with the cx being the one wiht the less options Shaguar47 09-18-2004, 02:14 PM cx's and dx's were the only two offered. So much for an si hatch though. That would have looked sweet. 95dxcivic 09-18-2004, 11:21 PM the dx i believe has a d15b2 unlike i kniow that the cx has the d15b7 witch makes a differents when you the strip.Im only fifteen and I don't have as much knowledge about hondas like other guys do around here but I think that d15's only came in pre-95 civics and also I think the d15b7 is in the dx and the d15b2 is in the cx, if we were talking about a 92-95. Anyone who knows, correct me so I can learn. snowman2005 09-18-2004, 11:33 PM Im only fifteen and I don't have as much knowledge about hondas like other guys do around here but I think that d15's only came in pre-95 civics and also I think the d15b7 is in the dx and the d15b2 is in the cx, if we were talking about a 92-95. I'm not sure what size I made them in photoshop but in real life i guess there is going to be more tire and less wheel and the wheel wont sink into the fenders. Also notice the mistake where I made the rear wheel smaller. Kinda looks weird. Ricochet 09-19-2004, 10:11 PM Both only have 106hp, with the same exact engine but the CX has less accessories i.e. they had plastic wings instead of painted metal, radio's are an option, hubcaps are an option, and they had no a/c. If you're getting it for 100% performance, get a CX because it weighs like 90lbs less. However, in my opinion, I'd want a stereo and shit.. apexigod 09-19-2004, 10:22 PM Both only have 106hp, with the same exact engine but the CX has less accessories i.e. they had plastic wings instead of painted metal, radio's are an option, hubcaps are an option, and they had no a/c. I kinda want some fucking air conditioning....lol eckoman_pdx 09-20-2004, 06:07 AM The D15B7 and D15B8 where from 92-95 civics, not 96-00. The 92-95 CX had the D15B8, the 92-95 DX the D15B7. The 96-00 CX and DX had the same 106hp non-vtec sohc d16, as mentioned above. And if you can live without AC (I try to in Maryland, it's pretty barable) go with the CX all the way. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
