I was out driving the other day and the state workers were painting fresh yellow lines on the road and the dummie in front of me drove thru the fresh paint and now it's all over the front of my car! What's the best way to remove this without damaging my paint!!!!! Any help greatly appreciated!

Well, first of all,you might want to see if the paint can be removed with your fingernail. If so,then it will most likely come out in a regular wash.

If not, then you can use some Bug & Tar removers, just let them set a little bit before rubbing them.Turtle Wax's bug and tar remover worked ok in removing road paint for me.

do not use ur finger nail, unless ur car is white or silver( they dont realy show scratches). u can dab some paint thinner onto a rag n gently rub the paint spots, then rub off teh paint thinner, or if the paint is pretty fresh u can get some of that orange cleaner/degreaser n rub the paint spots

DO NOT use paint thinner. EVER. Go get a clay bar for $15 and it'll take it right off.

repeat: NO PAINT THINNER!!!

clay does not remove paint, it removes overspray, rail dust, small sap, etc

if u let the pain thinner settle into the paint then it will damage but for small quick swipes it will cause not damage, i repeat No Damage

Well,

I would suggest trying the clay bar as well! I feel though that it might be hardened enough to require a different technique!

I would also suggest that you use a small amount of lacquer thinner, and use it as sparingly as possible!

If the paint is BC/CC you can use a little more, but if you have SS paint, use as least as possible!

You WILL have to re-wax the area's affected after using the lacquer thinner!

I hope the clay works, but if the paint is really hard, you're going to need to soften it up!

Good Luck!

incredible before and after: (just wanted to show what can be done after you drive over an aerosol can of paint)
