GSR tranny

im looking for a GSR tranny for my LS and ive been told it will help with acceleration. can anyone verify this?

the gsr tranny has a shorter gear ratio than its non-vtec counter parts. yes you will get off the line quicker but, you will be shifting gears faster than the non-vtec's

it is really not that big of a difference. but if you think of it like this, the gsr and type r have a higher rev limiter than the non-vtec's but we all shift at about the same time if we were racing. it is the gear ratio that sets us different. the gsr and type r have a gear ratio that leans toward the higher end of the rpm's than us non-vtec's.
