dash lights going dimcas4067 09-16-2004, 06:20 AM Hey just wanted to see if anyone else has the same problem as me. Well I have a 96 civic ex and I replaced the battery about 2 months ago because the old one was shot. Well I noticed this with my old battery and my new battery and also in my girls moms civic. When the lights are on and I put the power windows up the dash light dim. When I first replaced my battery I no longer noticed this but it's starting to dim again. Does anyone elses civic do this. Did I get a bad battery or any ideas why it's doing that... johnb16a2 09-16-2004, 11:12 PM The windows draw lots of power and I'm not suprised the lights dim when they are in operation. Just for the heck of it bring your car to Autozone like place. Most of them can check your battery and alternator while in the car for free. I do have a brand new battery in the car (3 month old) just wondering if maeby I got a bad battery or I have a weak alternator and it aint charging my battery properly. johnb16a2 09-17-2004, 09:51 AM Well I knew I could take it to some place to get it checked out, but I was just wondering if this is normal on civics.
