Electrical problems in 2000 Rodeojdepro 09-15-2004, 05:06 PM While driving my car a week ago, after hitting a small bump in the road, my Rodeo completely shut off. I could get it started after several tries, but then could only get it to move in reverse (it is a manual). It was towed to the nearby dealership, and they said it was an electrical issue. I picked it up the next day. And it is exhibited horrible behavior. Usually when I hit a bump in the road, the cruise control light and the check engine light will come on periodically. The worst part is that the engine seems to lose power for a split second, enough to feel it and watch the revs drop on the tachometer. The dealership does not feel it is their fault. I have had it into an independent mechanic, but he could not fiind any problem. What is causing this? Am I going to have to suck it up and pay the dealership to fix it? The car is being traded within the next 2 weeks, so I really would not like to put any more money into it, but driving it is unbearable.
