Electrical problems in 2000 Rodeo

While driving my car a week ago, after hitting a small bump in the road, my Rodeo completely shut off. I could get it started after several tries, but then could only get it to move in reverse (it is a manual). It was towed to the nearby dealership, and they said it was an electrical issue. I picked it up the next day. And it is exhibited horrible behavior.

Usually when I hit a bump in the road, the cruise control light and the check engine light will come on periodically. The worst part is that the engine seems to lose power for a split second, enough to feel it and watch the revs drop on the tachometer.

The dealership does not feel it is their fault. I have had it into an independent mechanic, but he could not fiind any problem.

What is causing this? Am I going to have to suck it up and pay the dealership to fix it? The car is being traded within the next 2 weeks, so I really would not like to put any more money into it, but driving it is unbearable.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Isuzu's do funny things with weak battery or alt.

Your's sounds more like a problem in your wireharness
