If they're broken down (brackets removed from rails in a separate box) and the rails wrapped/boxed such that the package isn't much longer/fatter than the rails themselves, you can ship a pair FedEx Ground for under $30. Sent mine from Maryland to Montana or Wyoming or such a while back...

If they're shipped with the brackets attached, the box will fall into an oversize category and it will cost a good bit more.

i only need the actual rails, none of the hardware anyway.
