I have a chance to get a 1990 f350 crew cab dually diesel for a reasonable price. It only has 90,000 miles on it. Was wondering how long they last and how good they are for pulling

Appreciate it

I had a 6.9 and a 7.3 non turbo. Generally they are good for at least 400,000 km. (256,000 miles) between rebuilds.
My trucks towed really well. These engines are not the power houses like the turbo Power Strokes, so acceleration is leisurely, but not slow. They are very solid and can tow really heavy loads while keeping up with traffic.

If they are serviced well, and NOT idled, they can last well into the 200,000+ mileage range, but if you use ether on them, they are JUNK.

now you have to be careful with the idling thing. We are talking atleast of 12 hours of straiht idling before having wetsacking problems. If you use a good injector cleaner it would not be a problem either.

I have a 95 F350 7.3 L diesel, I bought it in 1999 with 65,000 miles, I've had to replace a few things, with 132,000 miles on it , it runs good and tows excellent up here in Alaska.

Aside from a turbo kit, none that will not overfuel the engine and cause problems.
