Ghost in the Shell 2Neutrino 09-11-2004, 09:57 AM http://www.gofishpictures.com/GITS2/ well it looks like there is a sequel coming. They better not mess this one up since the original Ghost in the Shell was a masterpiece. alfonso2501 09-11-2004, 11:25 AM Yea, that’s one of the few anime that’s found it’s way into my collection. Great story! The comic book for part II been around for years now (dark horse comics I think) I was wondering when Masamune Shirow would get around to making the sequel. The story line takes off about a year or 2 after major Kusanagi went underground. She becomes head of security of some company. It’s been about 2-3 years since I've seen it last so I’m probably going to watch it tonight now. xviciousx 09-12-2004, 08:07 PM Looks good. Actually like in the first movie Masamune gave carte blanche to Mamoru Oshii to do whatever he wants so it will be a bit off again from the manga. alfonso2501 09-12-2004, 11:23 PM Oh wow, you're right! Last night after watching it I did a little googling and found out what part II was about. It wasn’t what I thought, and has nothing to do with the comic! It quite literally takes off right where part 1 left off. The major Kusanagi isn’t even in it! Batou is the main character! I saw the trailer, it looked very cool. In theaters Sept 17! ac427cpe 09-15-2004, 07:00 PM Let us hope it lives up to the greatness that the origonal GITS was. I will probably watch it some time this week, looking foreward to it seeing as it's taken this long to release. Passivality 09-24-2004, 02:22 PM wow love it, thats one thing i love about GITS, the level of detail! bestoil 09-24-2004, 10:40 PM never heard of it can some one fill me in sounds intersting ? B16 SiRII 10-30-2004, 03:19 PM I think that I spent most of the movie reading subs than enjoying the artwork. There's ALOT of dialogue and obscure quotes. I definitely have to see it again to enjoy it fully, damn me for my lack of knowledge of the Japanese language. alfonso2501 10-31-2004, 11:52 AM It wasn’t english dubbed?! Where did u see it? And was it part 2 or did u buy the Japanese version of part 1? B16 SiRII 11-01-2004, 08:08 PM Why the hell would I want an English Dubbed one? And I'm talking about GITS 2: Innocence. The one that was in theatres b18ls 11-09-2004, 04:08 PM When does it come out to rent? b18ls 11-12-2004, 03:14 PM I didn't hear anything about a part 2. When did it come out? When will it be avalible on DVD? B16 SiRII 11-12-2004, 03:52 PM It was in theatres just recently, so the DVD date will be a little ways away. Thourun 11-27-2004, 12:22 AM I saw some commercials for it, never found a place to see it where I go to school (or anyone who wanted to see it lol). Thats wierd that its just about batou, I hope that there will be more on the Tachikoma or whatever it's called (you know, the think tank), I loved the episode that was just about her/it. alfonso2501 12-15-2004, 07:03 PM It was in theatres just recently, so the DVD date will be a little ways away. The DVD comes out December 28. I hope it’ll be English dubbed! I’d rather watch the movie then read the movie. aznxthuggie 12-18-2004, 03:01 PM i have it, i haven't watched it yet tho hey does anyone know if the standalone complex is still being seeded somewhere? i lost mines when my last hard drive messed up -_- accent gsi 12-22-2004, 02:43 AM i got that movie!! (sometimes piracy can have good effects), to understand it its better to watch the whole Gits - Stand Alone Complex serie. It moves from the point of view of Bateu. Layla's Keeper 12-23-2004, 12:55 AM Why yes aznxthuggie, it's being seeded at your local Best Buy, Suncoast, or other fine entertainment retailer thanks to the wonderful people of Go Fish Pictures - a part of Dreamworks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
