97 Neon and fuel pumpranemone 09-10-2004, 08:29 PM Im tring to help a co-worker. Right after a large rain storm my co-workers car while she was driving died. She had it towed and the shop diagnosed a bad fuel pump. They said this is an electronic fuel pump. After replacing the pump they said the car also has a bad electronic fuel sensor and this needs to also be replaced. I questioned the shop and he said more than likely when the sensor went it shorted out the fuel pump. Is this possible? Or did they prematurely diagnosis a bad fuel pump and not a sensor. The price they are charging also seems high close to $600.00 for parts and labor. Is she being screwed? thanks for your help. xmucho_metalx 09-12-2004, 05:42 PM of course shes being screwed but what are you going to do? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
