Rear light housing issue....rubberman 09-09-2004, 10:11 PM got a 99 Montana and having issues with the rear driver side light housing. The housing has 4 lights in the a row and the brake light aint coming on. The same bulb comes on when i turn the lights on but nothing when the brake pedal is pushed. I swapped the bulb with another and it still doesnt work. I havent had the chance to use my multimeter yet. Curious to see if other Montana owners has any similar issues?... thanks richtazz 09-11-2004, 02:24 PM does the passenger side work?? rubberman 09-12-2004, 08:12 PM yeap richtazz 09-13-2004, 02:12 PM I would bet you have a broken wire to that side. Is it just the brake lights, or do the turn signals on that side not work either? rubberman 09-13-2004, 09:59 PM everything works on that side - turn sigs, backup lights, parking lights. Except for the brake light. richtazz 09-14-2004, 11:35 AM then you have a broken brake light feed wire on that side. Refer to a Haynes manual wiring diagram for the color of the wire, and then trace it back from the taillamp to the front. rubberman 11-01-2004, 10:47 AM i just replace the bulb and it works. Hard to tell if the element inside was broken. UPDATE: The brake lights went back out again but the normal parking light work. Its the bulb with 2 elements. and somehow the brake light element in that bulb keeps blowing. :disappoin Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
