ElRxBandito 09-08-2004, 11:12 PM Oh, didnt really know which to catergorize it in, but on the subject of color, I was thinking the factory purple, or silver, unless someone can suggest a better color. :D ElRxBandito 09-08-2004, 11:13 PM Update!: Rollcage 70% Complete! Here's a picture. The Rollcage and Strut Bar are all made from Solder. :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline3.jpg Here's a shot of the hood, I was looking into other ways to mount it, but here's the side opening way. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline4.jpg D_LaMz 09-08-2004, 11:33 PM nice looking solder roll cage ElRxBandito 09-09-2004, 12:49 AM I found a badass set of rims I had stashed in my wheel droor that look beautiful on the R33, post pics soon as my camera charges. :D SupaMan89T 09-09-2004, 01:40 AM I WANNA SEE THEM! SHOW US! :) *waits for wheel shots* ElRxBandito 09-09-2004, 03:46 AM Finally my camera charged up, so here's the body sitting on the wheels at the desired ride height (maybe a bit lower in the rear). Thanks to a WRX 1/24 for these rims. :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline5.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline6.jpg mike united 09-09-2004, 03:54 AM Sweet !!!........................which rims are they ? Mike :smokin: ElRxBandito 09-09-2004, 04:03 AM I got them off a Maisto WRX STi 1/24 Bas Carwash 09-09-2004, 08:52 AM Hey, nice project here! I'm busy doing this kit too :D Also a opening hood and engine detail and stuff. Rims are looking really nice. Keep up the good work :D  SupaMan89T 09-09-2004, 03:46 PM awsome rims work well with the car! :) ElRxBandito 09-09-2004, 03:50 PM Yeah, the rims are great, but as I look at the car, I notice that the headlights would look awesome with some small eyelids. Anyone disagree? Mean_B16 09-09-2004, 05:28 PM Ahhhh, makes me want to revive my R33 I built years ago that now just sits in primer mode and in peices. I 1/2 attempted the rebuild last year but lost interest. Keep up the good work, looking great so far. ElRxBandito 09-09-2004, 07:54 PM Well, I started building the motor, so far I have a valve cover, and the turbos. Here's the snaps. The valve cover came from a 1/18 Civic, all I had to do to make it fit was cut the wiring harness and glue, then to sand smooth and paint. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline7.jpg The Turbos are made from solder, gotta love the many uses of solder. :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline8.jpg ElRxBandito 09-09-2004, 08:57 PM Alright, I made a custom Intake Manifold and T/B, painted it with the rear end and intercooler shown below. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline9.jpg And I also painted my valve cover and seats together. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline10.jpg nismo man 09-10-2004, 01:09 AM lookin good so far! ElRxBandito 09-10-2004, 07:11 PM Here's some pictures I took from Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3. I got bored so I built my R33 and decked it to the max. Below is a snap of it hitting 204, with some room to push. (you can see it's sitting at about 8200 rpms, and it reds at 9500) http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/224747204MphR33.JPG And here's a snap of the quarter mile time, an outrageous 9.14. :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/224747914r33.jpg ImolaEK 09-10-2004, 07:16 PM Thats awesome progress. Nice R33 in Tokyo Extreme Racer 3, i never got to pass that game since the disk came with an error :disappoin ElRxBandito 09-10-2004, 09:47 PM Here's the headers I just threw together, just need to trim, paint, then attach the turbos. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline11.jpg ElRxBandito 09-11-2004, 12:34 AM Trimmed the headers, now I just need to find something to make the block out of, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. SupaMan89T 09-11-2004, 01:16 AM BWHAHAHAAAHHAHA nice shot of your r33 in the game my mk3 supra will smoke you! :) awsome work on the other stuff! :) ElRxBandito 09-11-2004, 04:44 AM Heh, a Supra cant touch my Celica GT Four, motor swaped, sitting 727 hp at 72psi, quarter is 9 flat, top speed is 223mph :P. Thanks for the input, really helps. :D ElRxBandito 09-12-2004, 03:06 AM Alright, the chassis, is all painted and I got my muffler made, now I just need thicker solder, and I'm going to buy the Initial D R32 and use the block, and possibly the hood. P.S I just got my hands on some Bridgestone Expida Tires to wrap my 17" STi Wheels. skypie 09-13-2004, 03:54 AM Are you Putting A Honda Engine in there? O_o Hehe Rollbars are best made in soldered wires Car looks badass! ElRxBandito 09-13-2004, 08:12 PM No, that's just a valve cover from a 1/18 that I made into a Nissan Valve cover, but I got a better valve cover and intake manifold, and I also got my block, so I'll take pictures soon as I clean it up and paint it. so about 15 minutes from now. :D ElRxBandito 09-13-2004, 08:14 PM Oh, and I swapped rims with the R32, looks alot better wouldn't you all say? (snap in the signature) ElRxBandito 09-13-2004, 09:09 PM Finally, here's the motor, custom block, custom headers, the valve cover, and the intake manifold, are from the Initial D R32 P.S Legos rock! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Motor1.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Motor2.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Motor3.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Motor4.JPG IImportSupra 09-13-2004, 09:15 PM Nice engine. Is that the final ride height? Or are the wheels stuffed under the wheel wheels? SupaMan89T 09-13-2004, 09:50 PM o man that motor looks awsome! ElRxBandito 09-13-2004, 11:01 PM It's not the final height, but it is the desired height, I might have to trim a bit to make it happen, but I think I can make it happen. :D Thanks for the input, it really helps!! ElRxBandito 09-14-2004, 12:54 AM Got the motor in and plumbed, the muffler shooting out at an angle and the ride hight is final Just need to trim a bit to get my new brakes to fit. but this is it, hope you like it so far. :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747R331.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747R332.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747R333.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747R334.jpg All that's left is some interior and all the exterior. :D SupaMan89T 09-14-2004, 01:15 AM looks awsome love the exhaust angle! JDM YoZ! :) ElRxBandito 09-14-2004, 01:42 AM Finished the Interior, and installed the brakes. Now just the exterior to do. :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2247471Interior.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2247471Brake.jpg SupaMan89T 09-14-2004, 03:00 AM wow,you work faster than me SLOW DOWN! :) ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 04:01 PM I decided on a color, just gonna be primer with some clear coat. :D ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 06:28 PM Oh, and a carbon lip, headlights, and hood, not too sure if I should do the trunk too, but there's a chance. 86_SR5 09-15-2004, 07:02 PM Hmm. Well theres light/dark grey, red, white, black, and several other colors of primer, maybe a little more specific...? The car looks pretyt good, but i think the wrx rims looked better. I'd have just droped a v8 in there, because the r32 initial d engine looks very fake, not because of your work. Good luck with the side open hood. ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 07:28 PM Here's the before the paint snap. (med grey primer) http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/22474711Show.JPG ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 08:14 PM Here's how it sits for the time being. I have the headlights, lip, and hood all carbon, now I just need to the the skirts, the lower rear bumper, and the middle portion of the wing. And I need to make hinges for the hood. :D Heh, and the exhaust line. And you can also see some minor imperfections in the paint, but it's still in progress, this is about the 80% mark. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2247471stFin1.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2247471stFin4.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2247471stFin2.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2247471stFin3.JPG ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 08:27 PM I love having the muffler all cocked at an angle, sooooooo pretty. :D SupaMan89T 09-15-2004, 10:38 PM you know what i found out its kinda hard too do but take a peice of tree and light it on fire and when you get that black some comin off run it where the exhaust is goin and it looks like it spit fire out and marked the bumpper :) (doesnt work all that well on black paint) ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 11:00 PM Alright, now it's about 95% done. Put the headlights and tail lights in, now I just need to get a detailing brush and do some touch-ups and some detailing. Also, I plan on putting it on the mirror again tomorow. :D P.S I put the plate on too. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline12.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/224747Skyline13.jpg ElRxBandito 09-15-2004, 11:01 PM HA!, forgot the mirrors I'll put those on now. LOL weaponjoe 09-15-2004, 11:38 PM very nice... love those rims... don't really like the factory purple... but.. some like... pearl grape would be nice... NissanS15Racer 09-16-2004, 02:08 AM what Carbon Fiber decal sheet are you using ?? ElRxBandito 09-16-2004, 05:58 AM no decal, just a light layer of silver under a light layer of flat black, then clear coat. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
