Lamborghini Gallardo

Fujimi seems to be on a role compared to Tamiya! They're introducing a 1/24 Lamborghini Gallardo in December (or maybe January...February...March).

Kind of makes me worried...
I love the detail level of Tamiya kits. But Tamiya seem to be producing less and less these days.
Fujimi kits can be good but they can also be very bad (lets not forget the RX8)..
From what I've seen of the Murcielago so far it looks like they have better things to come... Fingers Crossed.

When will you guys realise - quality not quantity is what counts:) As much as I like Fujimi and thier vast range they still don't compare to Tamiya's quality. Also Tamiya's productivity of new releases has not changed for as long as I have been following them. They have always only released a handful of car kits each year.

Great news on the Gallardo though

Still need to wait to see if it's really a Tamiya model or a new Crapy snap kit they try to introduce

Well I don't think we need another Tamiya vs. Fujimi thread, so I'll just say that I'm happy to see more lambo's in production.

The Murcielago was delayed only by a month and a half. Revell could only be so honest.

I can't wait for the Gallardo. This is ending up being the year of Lamborghini...first the new Miura, now the Murcielago, and then the Gallardo. Life is good.

I have a Murcielago...I preordered two via SAL, but a friend forgot he ordered three via express EMS...so he gave me one until my order gets here. My pair of kits was 1280 yen shipped, his trio of kits was 3600 yen shipped (delivered on Labor Day!)...that's nearly $12 each! Yikes. But it's still less than hobby shops will charge...it will probably be $39.99 plus tax when you can find them.

Wanted to see if the wheels/tires were up to snuff. They are...if they are centered properly. That might be tricky, but it will be done! :sunglasse

BTW, very crisp body, good fit of the separate parts...unlike most Fujimi kits. I dare say the body is almost Tamiya-like. Should be a fun build.

Where did you get these good deals?

From the post office. :naughty:

I wasn't clear; prices quoted were just the shipping from HLJ. So my two Murcielagos shipped SAL were 6480 yen (3240 each total); the other three were 11,010 (3670 each total).
