For linda38 or anyone that knowsjdw1978 09-08-2004, 05:22 PM I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS that is having problems starting. I'm a dumbass when it comes to cars. You said that you replaced the fuel pressure regulator sensor. Where exactly is that and how much did you pay for it? richtazz 09-11-2004, 12:07 PM The fuel pressure regulator is under the upper intake plenum just behind the throttle body on the top of the engine. they run about $40-$50 jdw1978 09-11-2004, 06:56 PM thanks, but is the regulator different than the sensor? richtazz 09-13-2004, 11:06 AM no, there is no sensor, the regulator is what adjusts fuel pressure via engine vacuum. linda38 09-17-2004, 01:38 PM It was the pressure regulator that I had to replace on my Monte. Now it starts great. I just had the shop do it, under 100 bucks including parts and labor... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
