strange noiseatomicpulse 09-07-2004, 09:12 AM alright so i've had my truck for about a year now and have noticed that while braking, or backing out of my drive way, it makes a moaning noise. like some thing is rubbing together.. Now the thing is, is it doesnt do it all the time.. some days it will some times it wont for a week or more.. any suggestion?? other then turning my music up :p atomicpulse 09-08-2004, 10:30 PM any idea anymore?!??!?? BlazerLT 09-09-2004, 12:16 AM moaning noise? You sure someone ain't shagging in the back? atomicpulse 09-09-2004, 12:55 AM haha thats only some times :p BlazerLT 09-09-2004, 01:00 AM be more specific on the noise for me. atomicpulse 09-09-2004, 01:05 AM well coming up to a red light i press on the breaks and it like a creeking noise, sounds like its coming from the back, same with backing out of my drive way its on a slant and i hear the name noise BlazerLT 09-09-2004, 01:07 AM this is while pressing on the brake pedal? atomicpulse 09-09-2004, 01:09 AM when stopping yes, while backing out of my drive way no i just let it roll out. BlazerLT 09-09-2004, 01:17 AM Sounds like you need to get your rear brakes serviced. atomicpulse 09-09-2004, 02:41 AM but they are fine, i check BlazerLT 09-09-2004, 02:54 AM How did you check? OverBoardProject 09-11-2004, 03:28 AM It could be the spring leafs rubbing together. or the rubber bushings. If you get an overweight friend to bounce in the back (not to heavy) with you under you might see and hear where the noise is coming from. I have the same problem on my car, and that's all that's wrong with it. BlazerLT 09-11-2004, 06:14 PM but they are fine, i check I ask again, how did you check them? atomicpulse 09-11-2004, 10:02 PM sorry for the long time for a responce. anyways i had the whole rear break assembly part and the pads were replaced.. strange enough though, you can only hear this noise in side the cab.. outside of my truck you hear nothing.. BlazerLT 09-11-2004, 10:26 PM Ever Changed the rear Differential fluid? atomicpulse 09-11-2004, 11:14 PM yes, but the noise is like a creek.. its hard to explain but it just sounds like something is moving and rubbing on something BlazerLT 09-11-2004, 11:33 PM Spray the springs and rear suspension down with a spray lubricant. Don't use WD-40, use something that is a little thicker. Even engine oil in a spray bottle will work. atomicpulse 09-12-2004, 02:11 AM alright i will try that tomorrow... here is another for ya.. sometimes while going over bumps.. i sometimes hear a crack type sound coming from the front right side... any idea?? BlazerLT 09-12-2004, 02:32 AM I have the same problem with the right side. Still working on it. When spraying the oil, make sure you spray the rear spring bushings very well and where the shocks attach. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
