'00 Cougar security help. PLEASE!!

I am working on my '00 Couger v6 that i bought from a police auction. When i got it the security alarm was "messed" up. It would go off and flash the lights every so often and i couldnt get it to stop. So i took out the fuse for it, but the only problem is that the fuse has the power locks on it also. If anyone knows what to do, I need HELP! Thankx.

Is this the factory alarm? The most common problem on these things is faulty door switches. Some cars even have them on the hatch and hood too.

They come with factory alarms, which are pretty shitty to start. Take it to a dealer and have him reset the alarm and transmitter.

How much will that cost? Well since I got it at a police auction, it didnt come with a remote transmitter. Do you think I could buy one than get it reset?

Theres a button on your radiator support that makes your alarm go off....do you have a dent in your hood....thats where my problem originated...but if not then i dont know off top

Id say the PATS system is messed up.
