Restoration of a Fujimi GTB 365/4proosen 09-05-2004, 04:40 PM As a change I thought that it would be nice with a non red/yellow Ferrari and decided to do this one blue. It's TS-54 and still needs some clear coats as I did the blue some hours ago. The rest of the pieces is taking a bath in Mr. Muscles owen cleaner and will hopefully be clean in a day or two. Think I will stick to the original all black leather upholstery and maybe do some detailing under the hood. BTW, it's the early type with the "under glass" head lights and Borrani wire wheels. Hold your thumbs so I don't mess up with the clear coats and ruins the paint work, it's going to sit for some weeks now so I don't get any akward reactions when I finally put the clear coat on. Cheers! I haven't seen many like this in scale, either, so this is sure to be a treat. Tikiman 09-05-2004, 06:49 PM Very nice colour choice proosen. Can you get the real thing in that colour? I'm sure I've seen something like that. Maybe it would look nicer with a lighter interior, if you're open to suggestion. Red or beige. Something like that. What do you think? proosen 09-06-2004, 12:22 AM I thought about a beige interior, but leaning againts the whole black leather interior...haven't decided yet. Really love the tan, black and aluminum interior of the Modena. It might be the choice on this one to. I don't know if there actually was any blue Daytonas, but I've seen other Ferraris in blue so blue it is. The paint is coming of the other parts just fine, noticed that I managed to put one of the rear bumpers in by mistake. Mr. Muscle removes chrome very quick and nice :banghead: Oh well, better put in the rest of them and pull out the trusty old Alclad II and redo all the chrome parts, maybe not the rims...but the rest. Cheers! Niclas mike united 09-06-2004, 12:57 AM Thats a great project Niclas & a great paint job, looking forward to seeing it done. So I thought what the heck...give it a go. Have a look and see if there is any difference, really hard to catch the sparkle but this is what it looks like before polishing. Cheers! It's funny this pearl effect, it's hardly visible at all in ordinary lamp light but in the sun it really catches fire. Niclas vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
