The bike starts out as a die-cast 1:10 Jesse James Sturgis Special blue flake/flamed Chopper.

I love the suicide shifter on it. All the levers work/shifts.

After I get my hands on it..........Matt Black fenders, gas tank and oil tank. Black wheels. Makes a world of difference. Not exactly like the one in my avatar but that was the inspiration. I hope you like cause I love it!

You can get them anywhere. Mostly Wal-Mart, Target, places like that.

Why didnt you post this in the die-cast section?

nis.k.a.
09-04-2004, 09:53 PM
Because I get more attention over here. =)

EDIT: Also, I might not have a chance to showcase this piece to my fellow members that know I prodominantly do plastic. Another reason could be that I've never been over to the die-cast side.

So way to help out the Die-cast modelling forum. How is anybody supposed to get any attention if they post all their stuff here because nobody is in the diecast forum. If everyone posts everything here there never will be anyone to give feedback.

Do you understand what Im saying?

EDIT: Just saw your edit. Would you mind if I moved this over to Diecast anyway? First because it will then be in the right place, and second, it will help showcase what there is to do to diecast and help get the forum rolling a bit more.

Gt Mike I don't want to be a jerk, but your 1:6 hot rod its all metal, and is even welded and its in the Completed and in progress street, not die cast

I can make another post over there tomorrow but I'd like this one too stay if possible. There are plenty folks here that can fully appreciate it.

What I was trying to say is that I don't know if the people I want to show this bike to even go over to the die-cast forum. Kinda like me, never been over there.

I have history with this forum. People that click my threads (since I've been here for awhile) know my tastes and get another chance to see how diverse I am and my many different tastes when it comes to modeling.

Look at his post count, then quiver. Don't question GT Mike. He's been here a long time and is always helpful, and he has his progress in both sections, thank you.

Either way, Nice chopper!

It is not die-cast now is it?

Theres a hard line to play what should and what should be in which forum.

I dont think I ever got to say what a superb job this was throughout all the commotion. Definately good looking! The pics are very well taken as well, looks almost exactly like a real bike.

Mike's rod project is exactly at the right place, scratchbuilding from metal have nothing common with die-cast :nono:

BTW, very cool bike nis.k.a !

Dang....nice bike you've got!

I had to disassemble the entire bike. It was broken down to just the frame and built back up. Forgot to mention I paint the seat too.

Well that is awesome, taking something and making it your own!! I work at a chopper shop here in Ga, and we take alot of stuff down and put our own special touch on it! I might go buy one and strip it down and paint it for our shop!! Great idea!!!!!!!!

Yeah I wish it was Choppers, Inc. And yes Mr Indian Larry did die last Monday!! What a loss to the motorcycle world. I work at a Harley Davidson dealership during the day, and chopper shop at night, it's called Seago Brothers Choppers. In Atlanta, Georgia!! No website yet, but working on it!!!!!!!

Great change nis.k.a. I think this new looks is way more badass than the original gaudy paint - I have crazy tastes though. Great work on the conversion.

And that's a bad bike, ol' dude. Did you ride it all the way from Georgia to Wyoming?

"Rat Bikes" :)

Rat Rods and Rat Bikes....love 'em.

BTW Steve. That has to the cleanest R32 I've ever seen. The interior and exterior look awesome. A pressure washer can take care of dirt in the bay but looking beyond that the engine is really clean as well. Major score.
