Its also smoking when I start it up in the mornings (white smoke) and hard to keep started any ideas? email me directly at willie3x@yahoo.com and thanks in advanced gmcgough 09-07-2004, 08:01 PM Start by checking the obvious.........make sure all 4 cylinders are firing. If one of the cylinders is missing alot or not firing then you can tell by systematically removing the spark plug wires from the distributor. Disconnecting the spark plug wire on a good cylinder will cause the idle to change dramatically. If you disconnect one of the wires and have little or no change in idle then you have isolated your problem. Then you have to figure out if it is a clogged injector or perhaps its not getting a spark. Hope this helps. boschmann 09-08-2004, 08:13 PM Is it white smoke or steam? nicoleos 09-08-2004, 08:54 PM Did you check the idle control motor? I had a cadillac with that problem. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
