I am looking for info about swapping the ABA block into an A1 chassis.

I have an 83 Rabbit GTI, and I bought a 95 Jetta engine, it is stripped down to the short block, and I intend to swap this block under my stock head to keep things easy. (I am going to get a port and Polish on the head and intake manifold when I have them off for the swap)

I would like to know what parts are necessary to complete the swap, and if anyone has ever done this swap could you give some pointers?

I allready know that I have to get a crankcase breather block off plate, a different headgasket, and I know that I will have to get a slightly taller Downpipe. but if anyone knows of other little things that can help make the swap painless please let me know.

thanks.

go to techtonics tuning website and look under engine swaps. they have a very extensive ABA swap write up, best of luck.
