Yet ANOTHER Civic coupe! (10 pics)tonioseven 09-02-2004, 09:10 PM Hi. This is another Revell Civic coupe :uhoh: . The paint is the recently introduced Model Masters lacquer in the shade of Dark Bronze Metallic; an old Mopar color. The only things I added were the wheels from an Eclipse, XS Tuning brakes, plug wires, PE speaker grilles, Spoon decals courtesy of Lau Bak. I removed the molded-in lower grille and added some black mesh. I painted the headlight housings flat black for a more purposeful, sporty appearance. Panel lines were done with a brown Gundam marker. I added a rear spoiler from my parts box and decided to use the “Altezza” lighting option for the rear, painted black. The only problems I encountered were the mounting of the front wheels and the window glass doesn’t fit right. It’s far from perfect but hey, I have another Civic coming along and hopefully that one will be a bit better in its appearance. Thanks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/Tonioseven/bronzcivic-11.jpg mach1_2003 09-02-2004, 09:19 PM You say it's far from perfect.... Great work!!!!!!!!! rx7king 09-02-2004, 09:32 PM looks great, so much style GTmike400 09-02-2004, 09:47 PM Intresting, yet very well chosen color choice. Whats that cup in the background of one of the pictures? You litterer. ZoomZoomMX-5 09-02-2004, 10:41 PM Coolness! :sunglasse :sunglasse I expect to see this in Atlanta! Even if we can't seem to convince GTmike400 to come to a club meeting  :grinno: Okay now...are you, CADguy and Kunta trying to see how many kits you guys (or is that "you machines"?!) can build? Is this A/F or have I reached the Speedbuilding 101 message board?! Man...I gotta get on the stick! :iceslolan gasman03 09-02-2004, 11:27 PM looks awsome Tunio, I like the suttle wing on the back, always though Civic looked better with small wings willimo 09-02-2004, 11:29 PM Man...I gotta get on the stick! Me too! I madly want to get some stuff done before November. Great model, tonioseven! I love the color. I am going to have to steal it for a handful of cars that I am going to build from the same "tuning factory." I adore it. What paint is that on the header? It's perfect. I like the rest of the style, too.. the black rims, the Spoon decals.... Great! If you are having trouble getting the rear quarter windows (is that the right term?), and if you haven't permenantly attached the body to the chassis, I have a tip. 1. slightly sand the bottom corner of said windows, so they bevel up and out from the center of the car, and sand a matching bevel into the window frame or 2. with gloves so you don't mar the window paint and the clear plastic, PUSH PUSH PUSH!!!!!!!! until the window pops into place. You'll probably be afraid you'll break the window, but you won't. At least, I didn't. It's tough. Great model! Love it. We need more Hondas like that around....! DJ_Merle 09-02-2004, 11:34 PM Excellent job!!! Those tail lights are to die for! I'll try the window tip on the Veilside Coupe (next up). 5. I was hoping somebody would notice the 5-lug conversion although I forgot to pick out the lugs with silver paint:naughty: . 6.
