Progress --> Yellow R32Bas Carwash 09-02-2004, 12:10 PM Thought I would post my latest progress on my R32 Skyline. I started with a Calsonic Skyline. The engine will be used in another project, so it will be curbside. I liked to do something nice with the body. Here's a list of the mods: - Custom front bumper - Custom made skirts - Custom made rear end - Changed licenseplate. Normally it's wide like most Europian cars - Rear fenders shaved so car is lower at the back - SAS CF hood - SAS GT wing high type with single CF wing (no pictures yet) I've planned loads of other things for it. Interior will be changed from racing to street too. It looks pretty good so far. So, enough said. Here are the pics: http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072R32front.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072R32back.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072R32hood.jpg Below is some sort of sneak preview of my mica blue Yamaha R1 Taira Racing with white rims for my brothers birthday. I think he'll like it. It has some nice mods. It'll be finished within about four weeks. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072R1Wousy.jpg Thanks for watching. :feedback: DJ_Merle 09-02-2004, 12:16 PM Looks AWESOME so far!!! Up again, I love yellow cars, what color brand and hue did you use on this one. It's very vivid and the rims it just fabulous! Niclas Bas Carwash 09-05-2004, 05:15 AM A yellow car...Ahhhh...thud! Up again, I love yellow cars, what color brand and hue did you use on this one. It's very vivid and the rims it just fabulous! Niclas Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Wheels look very nice on it, I know. To answer your question Niclas, I just used the Tamiya stuff :D First time grey primer to find irregulations in the putty work. Second coat grey primer to cover all of it. Then white primer, one coat. After that 3 coats of Tamiya Yellow TS-16. Starting with a mist coat, then a coat that covers all, and after that a coat that glosses up during spraying, being carefull the paint doesn't start running. Did I say I didn't polished it yet? :D BTW, Jack The GTR, no more pics of the R1 until it's finished I think. Expect to see it completed within four weeks. Thanks for all your nice reply's. Keep up the good work everybody  Andy Jones 09-05-2004, 02:44 PM Excellent stuff - look forward to seeing more Bas Carwash 10-06-2004, 12:35 PM It's has been a while, but got some nice progress again. Progress is pretty slow as I'm working on three projects the same time and I'm very busy making my own subs and speakers :D So, body is polished, panellines and stuff are done. CF wing is on. I used Enkei NT03 rims and cut out the inner ring. With SNJ Polishing powder the effect is amazing. Furthermore, I'm busy changing the interior from racing to street. Floor is almost done. I don't want to scratchbuild the back seats so I'm just putting some nice selfmade subs there :D I forgot to add the beginning of the project, so I'll start with a flashback for those who are interested. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_2.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_3.jpg The seats are from two Calsonic R32's. With a yellow body and a -light-gray/red interior they'll look great. Used SAS CF on them. Next pic is of the subs. Lot of work to do still, but tell what you think of them. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_6.jpg Well here's the finished body. Second pics of the back shows what propably will become the aluminium muffler of the car :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_4.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_5.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072AFR32_7.jpg Well guys, tell me what you think. Cheers Hape 10-06-2004, 01:16 PM AWESOME!!!!!! I like the exhaust and color!! :smokin: Wheelin75r 10-06-2004, 01:18 PM The self-made subs look verry good, also does the whole car. I'd like the first wheels even more, but hey, who am I? ImolaEK 10-06-2004, 06:08 PM Nice job! I like the body work on the R32 and the seats are kewl! I think the Muffler size is a bit on the big side. The exhaust color is awesome though. IImportSupra 10-06-2004, 11:49 PM Very Nice, Body Work Is Nicely Done. Just Get The Exhuast Size Down Abit, Then It Should Be Perfect. chaos 10-07-2004, 01:22 AM Looks good!! nismo man 10-07-2004, 01:29 AM The yellow car is sweet and the cf is looking hot. Bas Carwash 10-07-2004, 04:18 AM Thanks for the nice comments guys. I know about the exhaust. I need to cut of the end that doesn't shine as much as the rest. I just made it this large to make it easier to polish with my dremel. So it will be a little shorter. The diameter is pretty good. Bas Carwash 12-22-2004, 03:23 PM Well, it's been a long long while, but I finally got some progress to report. Been a little busy playing NFSU2 :D The entire chassis is done. Aluminium muffler is placed, molded engine part from a R33 (as the real engine is swapped into that R33) and of course lowered. The brake discs are from a Raybrig NSX and I kept the wheels. The decals are printed with a ALPS printer, and guess how did that  Thanks Steve, I adore them :D I think there might be a little to much decals on it, but well, I just couldn't stop decalling. The rear wing is off BTW, as the CF didn't look to well, and I thought it could be done better. Will be replaced as soon as the decal is on again. The pics might be a little fuzzy, but there's no change I'll get better as the sun is gone until march/april 2005. Damn clouds, rain, snow and all that other modeling killing kinds of weather!!! Well, here are the pics. Tell me what you think. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072chassis1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072Outside1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072Outside2.jpg itchya 12-22-2004, 03:31 PM nice, the front end looks great! blubaja 12-22-2004, 08:05 PM Hey, Great work so far. Also I love yellow cars :) :bigthumb: Wheelin75r 12-23-2004, 03:46 AM Nice & clean! Goed gedaan man! Bas Carwash 12-23-2004, 12:33 PM Thanks for the nice comments guys. I'll be doing something nice for Christmas: finishing the interior :D 2 blubaja: I used Tamiya blue (X-4) and Tamiya flat base and mixed it up a little. 2 Joeham: I don't know why I put on the Rays Engineering en then the Enkei as well. Just because I couldn't stop decalling I think... I thought it might just look nice, and indeed you're right... primera man 12-23-2004, 03:43 PM Really looks good in yellow and the decals finish it off nicely i6oR 12-23-2004, 03:55 PM thats pretty awsome i like the decals and that last one with the back view is a nice picture ImolaEK 12-23-2004, 05:05 PM Bas, it's looking very nice indeed, the decals finish it off. I'm really loooking forward to seeing it finished with the wing on. Also I love yellow cars :) :bigthumb: :1: LMGTR 12-23-2004, 11:14 PM Looks brilliant mate! Love the colour, love the rims, perfect! I've got a Fujimi R32 and was thinking of painting it yellow, now I definitely will! Ensure you post more pics of the finished job. Bas Carwash 12-27-2004, 11:03 AM Well, it's almost finished. The interior is done now. It took about 5 - 6 hours to get the interior floor flat and insert the subs-frame. I wired up a amplifier. Interior is black/blue. Blue is supposed to look like suede. The subs are scratchbuild using fimo. All that needs to be done now, is finishing of the intercooler and redo the wing. It'll take me about one week I think/hope. Tell me what you think. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072Interior1.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072Interior2.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072Interior3.jpg Feint Motion 12-27-2004, 05:13 PM Looking good, wireing looks great. Link to magazine edition. (http://www.chpltd.com/japanese_performance/olddog.html) Anyway, I really like this look of this, good job. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
