I just bought a 5 spd 1987 Hyudai Excel hatchback with the FULL intention of installing the 1gen 4G63 turbo powerplant. The car doesnt even have a motor in it right now. What kind of complications am I looking at to do this. I have been told the motor was virtually a bolt in motor. Please help me out here. Thanks,
Michael

31 views and no love? Guys I have been looking and looking and basically what I have to find out is where the front and rear motor mounts are? That and if anyone can tell me where a good read on someone who did it and tells about what they encountered, that would be great too.

mate im intending on doing the same thing but i've already got a TRUST T-71 Ball Bearing turbo.. i was wondering if the 4G63 will be able to handle that type of turbo with all stock internal's and all stock engine mods.

Who would be able to list the rest of the mods i should do to exceed well over 500hp?

i got the 4g63 motor installed over here in oregon by a performance shop called matrix engeneering.. i upgrade the stock turbo to hks ,bov to greddy, and wastegate by hks its runnin at over 300 and the stock internals are fine whole swap and parts costed about 5gs total. its a nice lil sleeper project for any excel owners. check this out for this sick 91 excel same swap
