There is a popping noise comming from the front end of the truck. The sound resemembles what you hear when you spin the front rotor and locks in place (loud metal on metal pop). Anyway I have heard this while backing out (while turning the wheel) and today I noticed it while making the turn into my subdivision however it seemed less noticeble while going forward. My front rotors were recently resurfaced but the noise was happening prior to my brake job. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem with my 2004 Tahoe. There is a Technical Bulletin out that fixed mine. The problem is the left side holes on the front crossmember are not slotted like the right side. They have to remove it, slot the holes and re-install it. The Bulletin number is 03-08-61-002B Just go to the dealer and refrence that Bulletin number and that should fix your noise coming from the lt frt suspension area.
