what is the difference between a 3800 engine and a stage II 3800 engine
and if mine a stage II its in a 93 regal and looks exactly like the stage II in every way! i want to know because i can get a cheap supercharger out of the scrap yard and i wana put it on my car and the engines look exactly the same sitting next to each other... the one from the yard is blown!

they aren't stages, but series.
Your 93 Regal had a Series I 3800 V6. In 1996, GM introduced the Series II SC 3800 V6. The regal wasn't redesigned until 1997.5, so that car recieved the Series II. Any GM product from 91- ~1995(few exclusions, such as the 1995 base Park Ave, but thats another post) that has any 3.8 liter engine is a variation of the Series I.

Whoa there Cowboy, noone said you can just throw a SC on that thing.
The N/A and SC engines are internally different. The Computer is different, as are the piston rings, compression, and the accessopry drive belt assembly. You'r looking at a HUGE job to "add" a supercharger. You'd be better off swapping out for a Series II SC V6 entirely.
BTW, would you car to list this $5000 in mods?

Have you ever wondered why the engine compartment is so big? I think GM wanted to leave their options open, incase they wanted to drop the Cadillac Northstar engine in there, from the looks of things, It should fit easily.
I feel bad for you, noone in my school has ever seen a Park Avenue, so I've got the Ultra Grille, Piaa 1500xt driving lights, and a removed throttle body screen. I've surprised Z28's and mustang GT's before.
