I just got a 94 integra gsr with a 1.8 vtec and so far ive ordered the following mods chip, header, cat back exhuast system,hi flow cat, cold air intake,a stage 2 clutch, short throw shifter, fuel rail, camshafts, and a 75 shot of wet nitrous. For wheels and tires i have 4 motegi mr7 with kumuho ecsta tires.I was wondering what this would run in a quarter mile and how much horsepower i would be achiveing. Also does anybody know of a stroker kit for a 1.8 or any other mods i could possiably do without going forced induction.

that chip is a waste of your money, your better off getting a standalone unit and putting the car on a dyno to tune it, you would see A WHOLE hell of alot better results

On the website it said the chip activates vtec at 4500 and moves redline to 9000.So your saying it doesnt do this? Also what kind of pistons and where can i find them and for what cost?Does anybody know if my engine can handle a 75 shot of nos or what upgrades do i need to make it work

Im not saying that chip doesnt do what it advertises, but why is that good for your engine set up?? why do you need to bump up your redline? or engage vtec at a different point? besides, thats prolly all that chip does, with a standalone or even some piggy back units you can reprogram your fuel maps and ignition settings, Ive seen people gain 26 Wheel Horsepower just from fuel and cam tunning alone, and thats with minor bolt ons. so he gained what he gained from just bolting on the bolt ons but he also allowed the engine to use those bolt ons to there full effect.

And no one online knows if your engine can handle a 75 shot or not, we have no idea what condition your motor is in, how its been driven and maintained, to find something out like that, you will need to take it to a competent mechanic, and do leak down and compression tests. as well as a basic tune up before hooking up the nitrous.

and about the pistons, there are many websites and companys, again, you need to do some research about what you want your engine to do, and then research different piston companies to find out which ones work best for your set up.

Getting your ecu chipped is just fine. Since you ordered cams it should work much better. It'll be a waste if he dont have cams at all. What kind of aftermarket cams did you get? About pistons...if you wanna get cheap then i'd suggest you get the CTR pistons. They're 300 bucks with new rings. IT should bump up your cr i believe 11:4? Somewhere around there i forgot the exact numbers on the gsr. I'd also suggest to get a vtec controller so u can tune it easier especially with the chipped ecu and cams. Dont buy those cheap chips on ebay! Mugen and skunk2 prolly your best options for now.

it may be "just fine" to get you by, but that wont unlock the true horsepower your modified motor is capable of. and besides, dyno tunning with a wideband and standalone is alot more accurate and can almost eleminate the possibility of problems arising such as running lean, rich, or dentenation ETC.....

Ok i dont think he needs all that cause he didn't mention goin all out. I wouldn't get me a stand alone unit unless i got my whole motor built. SO assuming from the mods he just got...EMS or standalone unit is NOT NEEDED!

Not needed...Maybe, but if you want to get any real potential out of your hard earned money, it is needed.

Id rather spend money on fuel management than 2k plus for a new motor because i didnt get fuel management.....

y did you say 550 dollars???
Apexi Fuel/Vtec controller....$360approx
A/F ratio guage...................$70approx
