ok last time i posted i was askign about how to build a ka NA and having it rev higher than 9k well i have it figured. i was reaserching and for an engine to rev higher it needs alot of stuf and the ka24 is definitly not capable of doing it with the current bore and stroke. so what i figured out was i can get a custom crank shaft to lower the displacment , but then i had a some one tell me that to have the same compresion i would have to have a really lond piston that would be heavy, so then i reasherched some more and the longer the rod is the better it would be for high rpm build because there would be alot less stress on the cilinder wall from the piston going up and down. so im guessing if it all falls thorugh my engine would be a ka22de caplable of revving from 9 to 11 k , but im having a problem trying to find a place that makes custom crank shafts , can you guys help me out and trying to find places inthe US? it wouls be a great help if you guys could.
thanks

As long as i dont run into a curb while im sideways!! \m/

Try contacting all the major companies like Scat, Eagle, basically any you can think of. I hate to tell you, but you will be in for some money. I think you are better off going with something like a RB25DE. Close to the same displacement and a much shorter stroke than the KA. Shouldn't have too much of a problem spinning this engine. I don't know a lot about RBs but there are some people on here who do.

Good luck either way and I hope I helped a little.

Yah you will be a lot better off with a new engine. I assume that you cant rebuild and engine yourself being you are just learning about them. A whole new engine would be a better idea me thinks. rb20det could be bought and installed for like 3,000 bucks. and your crank +rebuild will be costly an rb20 starts out with a red of like 8,000 and can go higher with headwork. anyways just my 2cents. not to sure about deturboing the rb20 but whatever. and you could go rb25 for like 5,000 but whatever.

I don't know if you wanted a NA engine (I thought you did considering your previous thread) but I am not talking about a RB25DET. I'm talking about a RB25DE. www.meggala.com has a lot of info on RBs.
