Hi I'm new to the forum. My question is my 99 rodeo rear wheels start to shutter when i take of from a stop. It feels like if the wheels lock for a sec. and then releases making the car jump. Any ideas on what the cause of it might be?

Do you have the limited slip rear differential?

This is option code G80 and will be listed on the plate in the engine bay. If you change the rear differential oil and do not add the limited slip friction modifier, it will chatter as you described. At least on my model year it will.

there was a recall, for 98-99 rodeo's, campaign # 00V-058, Bulletin #SB00-06-S002, "On those affected vehicles, there may have not been enough time for the paint to dry before the rear axle lower link bracket bolt and nut were tightened to the specified torque. The result is that the bolt and nut that connect the lower link to the acle may become loose."
