I'm trying to put the heads of the history teachers at my school onto mount rushmore. Only problem is, I can't make the heads look like they are part of the mountain, I can't match the colors and give the heads the chiseled out look. I can email the PSD containing the mountain, and the 4 teachers before any modifications per request. I've searched all over on google, to no avail, any help pointing me in the right direction is helpful.

I'm not sure how to do that myself, but you might check here. It's tutorials all about Photoshop.

My current progress

I desaturated the heads, did auto color, and overlayed 3 layers of a marble slab with different opacity.

the lighting mess with that and u'll be fine like the shadows look at where the sun is shining... hope dat helps

well... this might help

even out the mountain behind the teachers see through pic

so its not very complex

then... reduce the quality on the actual teachers head..
remember.. there wont be any black stones... in the mountain..
so u will have to airbrush stuff
this is a very long and painstaking process..
and for one... i wouldnt wanna take it on for free..

The dark areas in the 1, 2, and 4 guys are beards. And the teacher said it was fine today, so I'm thrilled, thanks for the help guys, and please keep helping, I love doing stuff like this in photoshop.

One of the creators of Southpark went to my high school, and that gay teacher is actually modelled after a combination of 3 teachers here. I have one of them, and she does say "mmkay"
