I swapped the stock muffler on my '98 Camry for a "high-performance" straight-through muffler. I noticed very little change in performance and the disadvantage of the loud sound vastly outweighs it.

Anyway, I'm trying to get a quieter muffler put back on but I don't have my original anymore, so I need a new one. Where can I get a good muffler for my Camry that does NOT have a straight-thru design? Perhaps I will have some nice tips welded on?

Thanks.

You could try a Toyota muffler, either new or used. Or you could try one of the muffler shops like Midas, etc. I've heard good talk about Magnaflow mufflers being pretty quiet although I've never personally experienced one. :2cents:
