HKS 2540's32godzilla 02-07-2002, 08:31 AM Has anyone tried putting a HKS 2540 on an rb20det? I know that they are a straight bolt-on. However, I was just wondering whether or not they would produce good power in single form? I'd like to put one on a r32 gts-t and take it with me for my future gt-r but I am unsure about all the different types/sizes. Which a/r is best for twin setup and single setup? Any help/comments/thoughts would help! Thanks to all. SkylineUSA 02-09-2002, 10:03 AM It depends on what you want out of your car. My take on it is for the street he smaller A/R, and for drag a lager A/R. You have to remember its the marriage between the cam, air velocity, port size, A/F ratio, compression, turbo, timing, etc. That makes it work. I can not answer your question, since I have only dealt with superchargers. Looking at the way R33 likes his power band with two 2540 for his RB26DETT, with a single on a 2.0 it should spool a little fast. So, it lok to be a good idea, but like I have said before I am no expert, but have spent many hours doing research. If I am way off, the other guys can correct me. -Joel- 04-13-2002, 06:14 AM A GT2530 which i image is a little smaller can make 220rwkw on a RB20DET in a R32 that equates to 12sec 1/4's R33 04-16-2002, 03:52 AM If 2540s work well being hooked to 3 cylinders for each turbo, a single 2540 hooked to 4 cylinders would, I imagine, raaaaaaaaaawk! But I wonder whether the manifold needs to be customised for that kind of application. I suppose the tried and tested td05 or td06 could be a better choice. sami 04-16-2002, 04:54 PM Originally posted by R33 If 2540s work well being hooked to 3 cylinders for each turbo, a single 2540 hooked to 4 cylinders would, I imagine, raaaaaaaaaawk!
