It's an absolute dead zone.

My understanding is that Seat (see-ot) was a spanish government controlled car company with a factory in germany. bought by VW in the 70-80s.

Seat is the "Soiciedad Española de Automóviles Turismo" (spanish society of touring cars) was create in the 60s controlled by the government. In 60-70s only made cars licenses of FIAT. (600, 127, 124, 1430) in 1976 Seat made his first exclusive model, the 1430 sport aka "bocanegra" (black mouth).
In the 80s when the democracy arrive to spain the society was owned by VolksWagen. From then Seat meke independient models with the same plataform of the Vag group (Seat-Audi-Volkswagen-Skoda group).

The Seat have a factory in Martorell, (Barcelona) and somes models are created in factories in germany and in poland (factories of Vag group)

They are a great succes in Mexico the Seat saler are growing each month, at my point of view, you get more than a VW to an Audi for a better price than a VW
