Steeringbsherman3 08-26-2004, 07:41 PM Does anyone else have a ton of play in the steering? Is there any way to fix it? bawana 08-27-2004, 09:13 AM what year--I have a ramcharger that has a coupler on the steering colume that is a real engineering marvel.when the pin gets worn there is all kinds of play in it.Had dealer change but problem came right back so I pulled it apart and found service tech change all but the pin thru colume and that was all shot.IT was a pain to remove. Had to heat with tourch and pound old one out.Must have been to much work for tech. moparmike70 08-30-2004, 09:55 PM If it is a '93 or older Dodge just open up the summit catalogue and order the Borgeson steering shaft. Its a little pricey at $190 but it will solve the problem permenantly unlike the factory replacement coupler. It will just wear out in another year and 1/2. I did it on my 84 ramcharger and haven't had a problem since. The factory replacement is about $125 from the dealer. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
