This(1988 Sierra S15) is my first pick up. I had a front wheel drive car b45 this and it drove in the snow like a champ. What and how much weight should I put in the back for when it snows. I was thinking of a couple bags of quick crete from Home Depot. I just don't want to be sliding all around like I have seen many p-ups in the snow.

I don't put any weight in the back of my truck for the reason is if you go into a fishtail more weight more swing if you hit any black ice . I travel on the highway lots and I see alot of trucks in the ditch with and without weight in the box.But if you want some weight about 100 to 200lbs I would guess.

I drove a 2 wd s-10 for a long time in NY winters, best bet is about 200 lbs between the wheels, and some snow tires or good all seasons

i usally fill the back with snow pack it down and then mound it up a little higher. alot of people use salt (stupid idea) my reason for using snow is it will melt out in the summer and it is less mess to clean also you won't have to worry about the bed rusting
