Injen Intake? Iridium Plugs?

I am planning on getting an Injen Air Intake kit for my '98 Camry 4-cyl. I was wondering what type of changes can I expect... Better throttle response, enhanced "engine music," more torque, etc...?

Also, I am strongly considering NGK Iridium Spark Plugs. Will this give me the boost in power I'm looking for?

Thanks.

Is it a short RAM or a "complete" one. You can expect ~5 wheel HP max. w/ a complete CAI (cold air intake). It will make a small difference that you can notice, especially in high RPMs, nothing WOW though. At high RPMs the difference will be amplified by the engine sound :)

I have a K&N intake on my 2003 Nissan spec V. It gave me ~7 Wheel HP, and it just sounds amazing as soon as I hit 5000rpms, when the secondary runners open :D

Would you recommend K&N over Injen?

This will be an addition to my straight-thru muffler (which I'm thinking of getting rid of...)

If K&N makes one for your Camry, yes. The K&N is unsurpassed quality, hands down. Not so much in terms of performance, but build quality and fitting.

For my nissan, it is the only CAI w/ 3 brackets w/ rubber mounts to attatch the tube to the chassis, so no vibrations will kill the MAF. The AEM and Injen have NONE. Also, w. the K&N (again for the Nissan), there is no trimming required to make the lower tube fit in the hole above the fender, it fits perfectly.

Some people get no power at all from K&N intakes, as the dyno results show:

In fact, the K&N intake in the above application didn't allow enough engine movement and tore away from the mounting point and damaged the truck. The quality of the device is irrelevant if the engineering is poor and the intake damages the truck, as well as provides no power increase. I see no point in wasting money on any car component that is supposed to provide a power increase, but doesn't.

I wouldn't recommend any cold air intake that doen't have independent dyno verification of power increase when it is installed on the engine you plan on installing it on.

MAF is Mass Air Flow meter
