Runs a lil rough but 22Rs never ran that smooth anyways and it's partly due to the exhuast leak near my O2 sensor :disappoin Koolade Man 09-19-2004, 01:12 PM I have a 91 with 193,000 miles and haven't had any problems whatsoever. sjtewks 09-19-2004, 09:21 PM 377,000 on my 1985 Celica. But I just blew a head gasket, so I am trying to rebuild w/ new rings, rod bearings & timing chain. 91 Celica St 09-20-2004, 11:46 AM 377,000 on my 1985 Celica. But I just blew a head gasket, so I am trying to rebuild w/ new rings, rod bearings & timing chain. haha timing chain, havnt heard that one in a few sjtewks 09-20-2004, 10:55 PM haha timing chain, havnt heard that one in a few I'm not sure what else one would call it. The Haynes manual has a section entitled "Timing chain cover - removal and replacement". It's certainly a chain that has an upper and lower bright link to align with the marks on the camshaft sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket. 91 Celica St 09-21-2004, 12:01 PM oh no im not making fun of you, yeah its called a timing chain...im just so used to working on cars with timing belts (and my friends chevell, timing gears) that i havnt heard of timing chain in a long time celicadummie 09-29-2004, 12:16 AM 84 gt w/224k TheMattHatter 10-12-2004, 04:32 PM 48753 on a 93 Celica GT Convertible, all original miles deadon1130 10-13-2004, 01:49 PM 181000 going strong buessi 10-15-2004, 12:42 AM Mine just turned 200,000 - it's an '82 with the original motor (but another used tranny). It won't hold the 5th gear, but in Seattle rush hour traffic, that's hardly a handicap. jmrev 10-15-2004, 11:06 AM my celica gts 00 has 43k vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
