motor revving high out of control...help!!!mr4206 08-22-2004, 10:37 AM Ok, I had a cracked header. Pulled off the intake, replaced exhaust/intake gasket and put new header on. Then put intake on. Reconnected all plugs and vac lines. Tried starting and it starts fine but then immediately starts ramping revs (out of control) until I turn off the ignition switch (which is about 3 or 4 seconds after starting) . SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME THREE TIMES.
