engine idle/trans shift

1994 6 cyl ..Just had the auto trans rebuilt because of hard shifting,the speed that it shifts gears is slightly higher than before , and still a cause for concern when it shifts .. played with the idle screw to raise and lower idle speed , seems to have some effect on the shift , but still makes you wonder if hard shifting is endemic to the 94 GC, .no error codes , fluid is proper level , but I can t find the proper idle RPM in the haynes book , so set it at best performance , but still seems high, any suggestions appreciated

First off there is no idle screw. You should have never messed with that. You are telling the PCM that the throttle is open now. The TPS should be set at approximately .550V at closed throttle. Disconnect the battery after you reset it for 30 seconds. Then check your TV cable adjustment. There's probably 100 other posts on here on how to do it.
