does anybody make a shift knob for automatics with over drive? ive seem a few for autos but they dont have a button for o/d and living in utah i use it from now and then, is their another way i can switch on/off o/d?

I think I saw one in Summit or JC Whitney's sport compact section.

you can just take off your old shifter and cut the overdrive wire. this will make the overdrive stay on forever unless you splice the wires and hook them up to a switch. then you cand put on another shift knob. this is what i did for my 98 corolla earlier today and it worked perfectly

i was accually kindof thinking that but i didnt know if the o/d was a wire or what, what did you do about the push button for selecting gears?

Autofreak has several auto shift knobs with OD. I know several of them work with Nissans.

Click on the link, and then click on Automatic Transmission. Look for the ones that list OD in the discription. Those should be the ones that will work. You can click on the link under discription for more info on each. I hope this helps a bit.
