Is there any possible way to put an aftermarket headunit, say a 1 DIN Apline, in my 99 Escort LX? cuz the a/c and radio are one piece, I was wondering if there was an adapting piece or something to fit in there.

I was told a Ford dealer can order you an aftermarket piece that has the controls for AC/Heater, but has an opening for an aftermarket HU. I think they can also specify 1 or 2 DIN
