OK i just pulled off the head of my 94 honda civic now the rocking arms look fine but when i lifted the head off i saw my problem i have three pistons that are corroded and now rusted since air has hit. What i need to know is everyhing looks like it can be cleaned and replace the gaskets for intake, exhaust, head , etc, is it possible to do such and is there anything i need to look foward to doing during the process

replace the pistons, seals, rings, gaskets, put motor back together. if you blew the head gasket, likely gonna need the head machined. also, if the pistons are that cruddy, so are the cylinders, get those cleaned and honed.

the machining is monster bucks, but if you are comfortable with it, you can likely do the rest at home.

as far as what to look forward to during the process...lots of grease, frustration, and money spent. But if you are comfortable with changing out the pistons, shouldn't be too bad.

I say fuck that engine and throw in a VTEC Motor...B16, B18, h22 etc.

also an option, and for the cost of repairing that motor, you're comin' pretty close to the cost of an engine swap

d15b ill set u back about 450 which is probably the price of new seals etc. if its just gaskets the just get the gaskets but once u start gettign into the piston rings and all might as well do a swap
