i am going to be brushing tamiya x-22 (acrylic clear coat) on to some engine parts and i have two quick questions (searched site already):

- is the drying time like regular tamiya acrylics, or is it different because it is a clear coat?

- if it is different than regular tamiya acrylics, how long do i have to wait inbetween coats to paint, and after to handle the part? also, if different, how many coats do i apply (w/regular tam. paints i apply 2)?

thanks,

I don't know exactely why you clear coat a engine though. But be aware that Tamiya X-22 isn't very hard and finger prints are comming easely on this kind of Acrylic clear. BTW, go easy on the first coat because if you take your time with the bursh on the piece, it'll melt the color you have put first.
