2000 Stratus Ignition Problem

Hey all my mother has a 2000 Dodge Stratus SE now heres the problem. When the she shuts off the car the key doesnt turn back all the way, it stays about a quarter be4 to starting the car it will just leave the odometer on. Now today i figured a way to get the key out I just lower the steering wheel all the way down and it comes right out. Before that my mom would just leave the key in the ignition believe it or not. :screwy: So does anyone have any idea what the heck is going on Thanks in advance.

did you get recall? there is a problem with some models- the shifter doesn't go all the way into park
